New Stash

Saturday after lunch, I visited a small fabric shop called QuiltnThings at Montrose, CA.  It has some of the most beautiful fabrics, perfect for paper-piecing when you are looking for that particular shade of a color.  I was inspired while looking at all the gorgeous, vibrant colors and already have ideas for most of these that I picked out that day.

My cat (the Honorable Tuffleberry Treestone) insisted on being on the desk, so I had to include him in the picture.

Music From The Four Seasons

I designed a paper pieced music notes quilt block about a month ago and since then I wanted to make a mini quilt with colors from the four seasons.

Spring brings new leaves and new life.  Summer is for light colors, carefree time for being a bit nostalgic and daydreaming under a starry night sky.  Trees in fall are dotted with bright and gorgeous orange, red and brown leaves poised to be swept away by the wind.  Winter is my favorite season where the sparking of the stars matches the sparkling of the snow underneath.  I wrapped the seasons with green, the color of nature, and bound it with brown, the color of wood.
