Nancy Drew Pouch With Paper Piecing

I grew up mostly reading Enid Blyton’s books, along with Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys.  So how could I not partake in this blog hop hosted by Sew We Quilt!!  I ordered my fabric and started mulling over ideas what to make for this blog hop.

I combined a paper pieced block along with two sets of book fabric from the charm pack I got to make this bookshelf pouch!   I used the magnifying glass fabric to make the Get A Clue paper piecing block in the middle.

You can download the Get A Clue quilt pattern for your next Nancy Drew project at the link below.  I made the pattern a 10″ block so you can resize it easily.  It’s also off-center, so you can embroider on the side.

While I was playing with all that Nancy Drew fabric, I got carried away and made a larger bag which now fits my iPad, a small paperback and my phone which also doubles as my dictionary.  Now I can put all my stuff in the bag before I head to bed instead of carrying them loose along with a cat or two!  A lifesaver!!

As you can see, I really love that fabric.   I had so much fun cutting the scenes out!!
