”We shall dine at seven and talk some more of this wolf. After all, there is a full moon tonight.”
I used to be ridiculously afraid of the darkness and nightfall until only a couple of years ago. Looking back, it is strange to think that Tooth and Claw is now one of my favorite Doctor Who episodes. When I am home alone, I often run it in the background or watch it right before going to sleep!
My husband asked me one day why I like Tooth And Claw so much. Without even spending a moment of thought, I blurted out all the reasons I could think of. The setting is a Scottish moor, there’s chivalry, courage, honor, a puzzle, “stars and magic”, and my favorite quote – “We’re in a library! Books! The best weapons in the world!”, you get the general idea! I had to include the Werewolf in the Doctor Who quilt along.
For the Werewolf Quilt Block you will need -
1 fat quarter for the background
Fabric for the moon
Fabric for the Werewolf
A very small amount of fabric for the eye
There are some large pieces in this block, so make sure to secure them when you work on this pattern.
You can also download the file on Craftsy.
We are now at almost 250 participants on the Doctor.Who.Along Flickr Group. You are doing such wonderful work on your blocks from the QAL, as well as sharing them on the group and encouraging each other. I know a few of you are even learning paper piecing with this QAL! I can’t believe how much our favorite Doctor inspires us in every way!!
It’s time for me to do a giveaway, namely, this bundle of eight fat quarters. If you subscribe to my blog, you will be included in the drawing. If you are already a subscriber, please leave a comment below, and you will be included as well. You can get additional entries for posting about this QAL on Facebook and Pinterest. Make sure to leave a comment here for each post you make. I will announce the winner with the block announcement on August 6th.
