Hello Sweetie Doctor Who Quilt Pattern

“The writing – the graffiti – Old High Gallifreyan… the lost language of The Timelords. There were days, there were many days, these words could burn stars, and raise up empires, and topple Gods.”

“What does this say?”  –  “Hello sweetie.”

The familiar greeting has made its way into the Doctor Who quilt along.  Whenever you hear those two words, you know that trouble’s not far behind since trouble and River Song are synonymous.  This is “Hello Sweetie” in old high Gallifreyan.

You might need a little more than a fat quarter of fabric for the background of this block.

There are twenty runes.  Apart from a few, most of them are very easy to sew.  Each one sits in its own square.  If you want to, you can substitute any rune with a blank fabric. But a fair warning – it’s won’t say hello sweetie though and we don’t know what will happen if the doctor doesn’t get his message!

Looking forward to seeing your blocks on the Doctor.Who.Along Flickr Group.
