“We used to call it the shining world of the Seventh System, on the continent of Wild Endeavour, in the mountains of Solace and Solitude, there stood the citadel of the Time Lords.”
Since the Doctor does it the best, I let him describe his home planet. Such a beautiful place it must have been! When I heard the doctor describing Gallifrey for the very first time, I wanted to make this block for the Doctor Who quilt.
I used all warm colors for my block –
1 fat quarter for the background
3 shades for the citadel – I used a deep red, brown and copper
Tiny amount of black fabric

We are almost two-thirds of the way on this quilt along, and I can finally do this awesome giveaway that I had put aside for a while now. It includes a brand new River Song’s Journal and a red Dalek keyring with LED flashlight. A lot of you are making your quilt for either yourself or a Doctor-Who-crazy in your life. Wouldn’t this be a fantastic set to include along with that fabulous quilt you are making?!
If you subscribe to my blog and leave a comment here, you will be included in the drawing. If you are already a subscriber, please leave a comment below, and you will be included as well.
