I have quite a few patterns in the making. In the meantime I am also working on my very first wood-working project. Got plywood, trims and legs from Home Depot. Sanded them down, applied 3 coats of stain and 2 coats of gloss varnish on them. Next step is to glue the trims on.
Saturday after lunch, I visited a small fabric shop called Quilt‘n‘ Things at Montrose, CA. It has some of the most beautiful fabrics, perfect for paper-piecing when you are looking for that particular shade of a color. I designed a paper pieced music notes quilt block about a month ago and since then I wanted to make a mini quilt with colors from the four seasons. Spring brings new leaves and new life. It all started with these Ikea Granas chairs. Then I wanted to paint the dinning room. After a couple of Home Depot runs, the colour was decided. It’s Marina Isle from Behr.
