I hope you are enjoying the Halloween Blog Hop! Believe it or not, until just a few months ago, I couldn’t sleep without having the lights on or stay home alone after nightfall. I was terrified of the darkness and night, let alone reading or watching anything scary! Needless to say, I really didn’t enjoy Halloween for the longest time!
Thanks to a dear friend of mine, I faced my fear and now monsters only exist between pages of the books I read. I wanted to celebrate that by hosting this blog hop! I also wanted to make something a little darker and spookier for my block. I present to you Angry Pumpkin, who is going to turn into a story some day!

Remember to upload your blocks to this flickr group by noon today of Pacific Standard Time for a chance to win these prizes! I will post the winner’s block with tomorrow morning’s post.

Jennifer is not only this week’s blog hop designer, she is also a fellow prize contributor. She is sharing her pattern – Sunbonnet Sue’s Magical Friends – Monster Madness for this week’s prize!
Jennifer is a fantastic paper piecing designer and she has her patterns available on her website at sewhooked.com as well as on her Craftsy and Etsy stores.

I am also including one Halloween-themed fat quarter, one coordinating fat quarter and a Christmas-themed fat quarter from my stash.
The next drawing will be on the 22nd of October. That way you get a whole weekend of fun creating the blocks. Please upload your blocks to this flickr group for a chance to win. I will draw a winner randomly on Monday. I am really looking forward to seeing your blocks!
For the month of October, I have reduced prices by 10% on all patterns at Whims And Fancies on Craftsy. At shopwhimsandfancies on Etsy, you can use the coupon code PESKYPIXIE to get a 10% of discount from your total purchase. Hope you enjoy the sale!

Very creepy pumpkin! I could see it as a serial killing gourd in a bad movie from the 80s ;D It looks awesome.
LOL!!! Pumpkin has a lot of insecurity issues ;)
Thank you :)
Well, you have to know that I love this one Soma! (Even if he scares me… LOL!) I watched “Sleepy Hollow” this past week, and he reminds me of the scary scarecrow! Thanks for the wonderful pattern!!!
You are such a sweetie, Ruth! Ghostbusters movies used to scare me! No sure if I am ready for Sleepy Hollow yet :-)
Love your angry pumpkin and the fact that you were able to over-come your fears – hard to do, you should be proud of yourself!
Thank you, Susan! That is very lovely of you to say!
Hihihi … I didn’t know that pumpkins could be angry LOL … Its a realy lovely block !!
I have my broken tombstone block ready so I can begin on another.
BTW. Is this the block for october 22 ? Because in the first list I saw another name by that date (Jeanne Gwin).
Oops sorry … I looked in a different list LOL
LOL!! I am so glad you liked my Angry Pumpkin, I was so apprehensive about it :)
That was the correct list, I had to update it because of a change in plans.
